FROM THE SECRETARY - A GREAT BIG THANK YOU!
Thanks to the Brothers in Masonry and friends of the community who supported our 6th annual Rib Feast. Your contributions and support resulted in a great success. Everyone enjoyed the meal and everything was better than last year.
To those Brothers who chose not to support Belleview Lodge because of one reporter's comments, let me say this. We have a Lodge committee for publicity as does District and State. We use the vehicles available to make people aware of our Lodge and what we do as a fraternity in our community. We have no control on proofreading of published articles. It's a sad day when some Brothers feel they can't support another Lodge because of four or five words printed in a newspaper. I'm glad your Lodge never participated in any function that violated Grand Lodge rules (which Belleview Lodge did not violate). The only people attending this function were members of the fraternity and friends. I know there will be criticism about this article being published in the Trestleboard. But, quiet counsel was not whispered in our ear. This is in response to those who chose to speak out in loud voices of condemnation. Throw not the first stone --sometimes you get a response.
Jaby Oliver - Secretary
WORDS FROM THE-WORSHIPFUL MASTER
My year in the East is quickly coming to an end. I hope I have served you well and that Masonry has benefited for me having been here. There are still many things left to be done and I will continue to work toward achieving those things. Won't you come join us and insure that Belleview Lodge continues to grow? There are lots of familiar faces that I have not seen for some time. It would be nice to see you again.
Two things that need attention and monetary support is the replacement of a water fountain and ice machine in the Lodge. We are attempting to raise the money for the purchase through donations. We have a few Brothers who have committed. If you can help, please contact me.
Fraternally,
Steve Whaley
